Beauty Tip: Steam your pores for a few minutes before applying this face masks to allow their nutrients to work their way right into your skin. Just sit with your face over a bowl of boiling water, and a large towel covering your head and shoulders to avoid letting any steam escape. Add a few drops of lavender or tea-tree oil for a spa experience!

Anti-inflammatory Avocado Mask:

If you suffer from dry or scaly skin and already try to include plenty of healthy fats in your diet, this mask can give your skin the boost it needs thanks to the nourishing oils in avocado.

The olive oil also supports healthy skin, while the turmeric helps to reduce inflammation and give skin a natural glow. The citric acid in the lemon juice helps to tone down any discolouration or blemishes.

Just try not to scare your husband/housemate/neighbour/dog with your green face!

To make the avocado mask, simply mix and mash one ripe avocado with 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of turmeric and a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.

Smear all over your face, preferably avoiding your eyes and nostrils.

Lie down somewhere quiet for twenty minutes, wash off the mask gently with a facecloth, pat your skin dry and voila! Baby soft skin.
